ABOUT THE HOUSE LAB
We are an engaged group of scientists striving to understand mechanisms that support cancer progression, therapy resistance, and disease relapse. We focus on the role of the tumor microenvironment and cancer stem cells in mediating survival and drug resistance pathways in ovarian and breast cancers. Our research uses a combination of cutting-edge experimental approaches including tumorsphere culture, imaging flow cytometry, high-content imaging, next-generation sequencing, and in vivo models to study tumor biology. Our research is strengthened by interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers in bioinformatics, engineering, and chemistry. We highly value our collaborations with physician scientists focused on women's cancers striving to improve patient lives. The ultimate goal of the House lab is to identify novel targets to inhibit cancer progression and prevent recurrent disease.
